iFood360° is a program that aims to develop and implement virtual reality learning experiences to transform traditional training practices in an essential sector that has been uniquely impacted by the Covid-19 global pandemic.
iFood360° will focus on three main areas:
- Industry-specific technical skills
- The essential skills of adaptability and emotional intelligence
- Transferable skills in a career exploration context
The program will be launched in early in 2023 and is available to employers at NO COST.
iFood360° will initially be available to approximately 20 food and beverage processing employers in multiple regions across Canada with up to 400 participating workers.
iFood360° will initially be available to approximately 10 academic institutions and community stakeholder organizations in multiple regions across Canada, and to as many as 200 participating job seekers with transferable skills.
There is NO COST to employers for participating in the program.
We are planning to complete partner registration in early 2023, with training commencing shortly afterwards.
We expect the training will require a commitment of 15 to 20 hours from each employee. The curriculum covers industry specific and social emotional skills, and includes self paced on line learning and engaging virtual reality experiences.
We expect the career exploration experience will require 30 minutes to 1 hour to complete, based on the participants interests.
